A scenic journey to the
former top secret fortress
You visit the formerly
secret Gotthard fortress in the Gotthard massif. The journey takes you on a
scenic journey by train to the Gotthard region, passing Andermatt to the
Gotthard Pass. In the fortress you take the metro in the mountain to access all
the different rooms. A separate guide provides information about the entire

in World War I & II and why the facility was still in use long after the
Cold War .
You travel through a
